Hi,
just wondering how much similarity there is between sanctum and killing floor, since they are both UT3 mod where you fight hordes of enemies.
I'm a killing floor fan, looking for some fresh air in this co-op horde fighting genre...will sanctum be the answer?
also, I watched some gameplays and noticed there are only two guns...am I right?

Haha it's not the same type of game, at ALL.
There are 3 guns atm but one more will be added.
You place blocks to block the incoming ennemies, just like a tower defense.
You can also use your gun, actually you have to.

There's 3 guns in the game currently.
Can't speak about similarities but co-op in Sanctum is pretty awesome, and we're going to extend the play with more modes and content in the coming time, making it even more awesome :)

Hi, I don't think you can compare Killing Floor with Sanctum.
Sanctum is (mainly) a Tower Defense game... but it has a twist over normal Tower Defense games, as it requires you to also shoot at the enemies yourself in FPS-style.
You have to protect the Core from the horde. They will not go after you. They will take the shortest route to the core and damage it. With enough damage the Core blows up and you loose.
You have to build a maze through which the horde runs... slowing them down.
You place different towers in the maze. These towers shoot at the horde on their own. It's important where you place the towers.
While the horde tries to reach the core you also need to use your three weapons and fire at them.
- assault rifle with grenade launcher on secondary fire
- sniper rifle with zoom
- slow gun (slows enemies so they stay near your towers longer and take more damage)
Normally you run/jump on top of your maze to shoot them from above and try not to fall down into the maze. You can build elevators to get back up on your maze and build teleporters to quickly get to where your firepower is most needed at the moment. (But you have to plan ahead in the building phase as it is not possible to build while the horde is coming.)

They throw some keys up on facebook, read the welcome thread.
Or maybe the devs are nice enough to pm you one =O

Killing Floor does not run on Unreal engine 3, it runs on Unreal engine 2.5.
And no, you can't compare a Survival FPS against a FPSTD. I own both games and besides the first person view, there is nothing that's like in the other game.

KF is first person only survival against timed waves of zombies with no backup besides other players.
Sanctum is maze-based tower defense where you can jump in with your guns and help out. You can also start the wave whenever you're ready.
The only similarities are first person, upgrade system and wave based gameplay. that's about it.
