Availability of Ferry Pack on Steam

Does anyone know when/if the Ferry Pack will be available to download from Steam?

Or should I just download it from V-Step?

I fell into the trap of buying the Ferry Pack from the Ship Sim website.

This version is not compatible with the Steam version.

Apparently, Steam decided to delay releasing the Ferry Pack until 5th April. Please do not purchase from V-Step unless you have the retail version. Otherwise you'll be stuck, like me, asking for a refund.

The release of Ferrypack was delayed so all the stores, include Steam, should got the same releasedate. I bougt the DVD version, but to my disappointment, the DVD required Steam. First 3-4days delay on patch, now 7days delay on Ferry pack :mad:

Actually has Steam ever announced that it will be carrying the Ferry Pack DLC? I have been trying to find an announcement from them but can't find anything.

Hi taylorab,

Well, there is a reference to the Steam version of the Ferry Pack on the Ship Sim website. So, unless V-Step has got its wires crossed then one would assume that it will materialize on Steam at some stage.

Also, the library section on Steam for Ship Sim Extremes has news items that reference the Ferry Pack.

Just got to wait for them to pull the finger out.

IMHO it's this kind of attitude that undermines Steam as an acceptable form of game media distribution, and I feel it is destroying the pc as a gaming platform because people are just getting fed up with this kind of treatment.

Well, that's my tuppence worth. Back to waiting then. :(

I also bought ferry pack which doesnt download to steam.But I also have retail version on dvd can I remove the steam version and install this one.What about any updates?
