So my steam account was hacked

Hello, my name is Jonathan and my steam account was hacked about 4 years ago. Through random urges of me wanting to play CSS I would randomly guess the password. I some how managed to guess it right this time and the moment I logged on the account I changed all the info back to what it was origionally. Only after playing CSS for a few extremely excited and going to bed I woke up to me beeing banned by VAC for a cheating infraction...I dont know how I could of possibly cheated not even a day after reclaiming my stolen steam account.

If the person who was using your account cheated, the account would still get the ban.

VAC doesn't raise the issue on who cheated, someone on that account did.

Yes it was, Im not to bright on the whole reclaiming an account things via steam support and im asking here pretty much what avanue do i take on trying to get it unbanned? if there is such one because I dont have the cash and havent had the cash to rebuy any games for steam.

Realy kids...if you are stupid enough to cheat, don't wonder if you get VAC Banned...VAC doesn't stupid, it takes time but 4 years ago, haha realy next time say something realistic.

Wow, that is really a very weird story, so weird, it could even be true.

But nonetheless, VAC does not care who cheats on your account, it only cares that someone cheated on your account. You had your account hijacked 4 years ago (that's longer than mine exists!) and in that time you did nothing to get it back? And now you complain that you are VAC banned, since you were able to "guess" (sorry, but i don't really believe that part) the password and get your account back?

You are solely responsible for the use of your account, you did nothing to protect it for four years. Be glad it's only VAC banned and not permanently disabled.

These forums can not help with VAC ban issues. Contacting support is your only option.
