Correct! You will be in the Beta if you pre-order. Also, if anyone out there has done this, confirm here that it's working. Need to let Valve know if you aren't able to install the Beta once you pre-order.

I shipped srcds.exe with the Beta if you want to test it out. Official Dedicated server support is forthcoming with the hldsupdatetool.

The only sad thing is that i expected it to have single player campaign as well based on a youtube vid, now i realize that vid was taken from the mod version of DDD

Single player is on the way. These devs chat with their community constantly, this is a VERY good habit.

There was a server issue about an hour ago (around the time you posted) that was making the game very stuttery for everyone. That may have been what you were experiencing. Servers are back up and normal right now.

I have the same problem whenever there is a smoke grenade, or someone who is berserker stand right besides me. My game stutters and the frame rate drops.

I have a ATI oc 2G 5970 Graphics card in my machine with 8 GB of ram, and a 820 i7 processor.

Assuming the smoke nades and berserker effects use particles, you really need to reduce the amount of particles.
