Is there giving away stuff for L4D like portal

In other forums like portal I`ve seen people giving away copies of the game through gifting I think but not sure.

Does that stuff happen for L4D?



P.S I don`t have L4D so I can`t give anyone anything if so.

No. Those were pre-order-boni for pre-ordering Portal 2. Those people owned Portal 1 already and get a gift instead of a own copy.
