hey valve please mark your upcoming games with "WE DON'T DO ONLINE SUPPORT for GAMERS in middle-europe" so we won't waste our money anymore !

servers unplayble for more than 2 months.

i've got a 360
my connection is fine...
(every other game works online perfectly well)
-ports forwarded

i'm from Austria (vienna)
i've visited about 10 friends here in vienna, tested l4d1 & l4d2...
(all dedicated servers are broken, we cannot even host a game, cannot create a local game (CAUSE THERE IS NO OPTION))
our "friendly" neighbours in germany can use the game without any problems,...

i mean, sry i purchased those games AND so i want to play those games online. (singleplayer is not l4d)

wrote about 5 times in this forum never got even a hint of an answer. JUST TELL US WHATs GOING ON.

(or give us pieces of advice, how to solve this problem)

Sorry to see that you're having connection issues. But it's more than likely your connection. Have you tried openserverbrowser?

I initially couldn't find any games but then that did it for me.

You won't get an answer from Valve on these forums.

Just get a support ticket and keep hassling them until they fix it.

@Law Man
openserverbrowser? u mean programs like GameSpy?
(i play l4d on the 360)

@NabsterHax
thanks 4 the tip

its sad it has to be that way, i dont want to bother anyone, but its totally scandalous how u treat your costumers.
(i mean nobody would buy an ONLINEgame whitout the possibility to play it online...thats terrible)

Ah, well openserverbrowser isn't going to work for you. I'd say it would be your connection, it might be restricting what games you can find. It more than likely isn't Valve's fault.

hmmm....
one more try...
I PLAY L4D ON THE XBOX 360
there is no server browsing ! there is no local hosting ! there are no free DLCs ! there is just crap left !

my connection is just fine doublechecked, triplechecked, provider phoned, xbox support phoned...

other games are working excellent online... never changed anything on my router/modem.

but somehow all l4d1 and l4d2 servers are totally messed up since about 2months (ping ~500 darkredBAR)
the game isnt playable anymore in my country (even tried the connection on xboxs from about 10 friends here in [vienna, austria] some of them even had other providers than me) ---> BROKEN, UNPLAYABLE...

okay and now i tested ORANGE BOX (teamFortress2) online.
[even that game i bought some years ago...never had problems]
now, its totally unplayable ! all servers are crap... even when i host a game on this one.

now tell me again its not VALVEs fault.
(hmmm strange, just valve games are broken or respectively messed up) --> YEA it might be my connection... mhmm

whatever i won't get any help from valve.
some ("new") settings for my router/modem to play on the xbox360 or just few words like: "hey don't worry we'll finish portal2 or the new l4d2 DLC and then the servers will be fine again." noooo

enough said

[maybe i'll send a more polite supp.ticket] ;)

There's no point in raging at Valve about a problem you haven't asked them about.

Get a support ticket.

1) I haven't seen any title updates for these games recently, if something's changed it wasn't Valve that did it.
2) Wrong Forum
3) To host a local game use the system link option.
