The results are strikingly nuanced, telegraphing a great deal of subtlety even at this early stage, the system promising a significantly more flexible way for animators to work. Despite this, Root has even bigger plans: one additional component yet to be implemented is colour mapping, a system which will simulate blood flow beneath the skin, adjusting its colour as brows are furrowed or lips pursed.

I love the facial animation in L.A. Noire, it's amazing, but something about it bothers me. Can't quite put my finger on it. There's certainly room for improvement.

I hope Remedy isn't forced to deliver Alan Wake 2 as their next title, that we're going to see something else instead. And whatever it is, it better be on PC as well.

Article is fail when no video of said "facial animation" is provided.

Embargoed. I doubt they're ready to show their next title at E3, Alan Wake came out almost a year ago, so it'll be awhile before we see this promising tech of theirs.

I'll believe it when I see it.
