I don't know if this was mentioned earlier or not, but it's on schedule for a 2012 release.

Let me guess, the subtitle is: "Jack is back."

Delighted. Jack is a legend, can't wait to see him in action again.

I hope it's not 24 hours long though.

It'll be interesting to see how they'll do it as a film. But I'll take a 24 hour movie.

I wonder if it will be made in...3D

My gf and I went through the first six seasons of 24. We'd watch two episodes a day, such great fun. Can't wait for the movie. Hard to believe the producers actually thought about killing off Jack in the final season.

What? What the hayll are you waiting for? If you average one episode a day, that should be enough to carry you until the 4th season of Breaking Bad FINALLY starts! (around July, I think)

Season 1 was the only truly defining season in the show. I'd argue everything else mostly failed to maintain the benchmark (despite my liking of Seasons 3 and 7). I think that's partly because they never tried to change the formula, which is rather inexcusable.

The final 10 episodes of Season 8 were exceptionally good though.

Last Season sucked in my opinion, I hope this movie will be better.

I agree. There were some seasons where the bad guys, see Day 4, seemed a little too over the top in their evil capabilities. Felt like the series trying to be like James Bond. Thankfully the later seasons improved.

Sitting in ♥♥♥♥ty chairs, wearing 3d-glasses, with only popcorn, hot-dogs, stale pick-n-mix sweets and slush puppies as sustenance for 24 hours?
 :D
I've only watched most of season 6 I think but it seemed worth watching.

Season 6 was 24 at it's worst.

Season 6 was 24 at it's worst.

Maybe I should try some others then?
I thought 6 was watchable, just quite obscure and unrealistic.
Many of the 'hours' just didn't realistically equate to an hour and so many 'yeah, right?!?' moments.
It felt odd being such a serious storyline yet it was hard to take seriously sometimes.
I still can't believe that (from memory) he gets released from captivity and torture in the morning and by lunchtime he's torturing his own brother to find the next nuke?!?

(Not much of a spoiler but a spoiler nonetheless!)

So, if I were to try some more, which series would be the best?

Watch them all. The series as a whole was awesome.

Season with the nuke on the loose was the best action wise, first 4 hours a nuke gets detonated in downtown LA!
