BRINK is not Steamplay game PC only not a Hybrid, It won't run on a MAC unless you're going run of those emulator programs like Wine or something..

We have this new thing, just came out, it's called Boot Camp. It lets you install Windows onto another partition and dual boot

Back to the OP, I believe that will run it just fine. I will be running the game on an iMac with slightly lower specs and expect it to run just fine.

I would recommend updating the video card drivers though, don't rely on the older ones provided by Boot Camp 3.2.

it'll probably open it on lowest settings. Laptops both pc and mac are not good for gaming.

If it's the 13" version then the answer is no. The 15" might be able to run it on low. Macbooks are overpriced laptops for people that doesn't know anything about computers.

Base 2011 model may not.
HD series is weaker then the GF 320M in the older model. Which would have a better chance (320M).
The 15" version will be able to easily handle Brink with Windows on medium/low . They are expensive no denying it but they are well speced (Not for the price but still well speced)

Then again, we do not know how well it runs and scales.

I was thinking about picking this up, despite all the bad buzz, but wanted to know how it'll run first. I have the 2.3GHz 17" Macbook Pro, has anyone here played it with the 6750m yet?

I'm not sure about gaming.... I've heard they make awesome frisbees though.

LAWL, no.

Don't make me go on my Mac rant about how they're ripping you off. The macbooks run on hardware from 2 years ago, and cost more than 90% of laptops that are being released today. If you want to waste your money, go ahead, but you're not going to be doing anything but surfing the web and staring at a spinning beach ball.

EDIT: Oh hey, I looked it up. They upgraded. Still running on mid-range slow hardware for ridiculous prices, though. Seriously, the 17 inch is $1000 more than my laptop and it's significantly slower.

Here's a video of it on a 15" 2011 Macbook Pro with a 2.3 GHz i7 and the 1gb 6750m:

Well, thanks for the help guys. I guess a 2.3 GHz sandybridge i7 Quad and the four month old 1gb 6750m are two years old already, wow. You learn something new everyday!

Edit: I forgot to add the m to the 6750, in case anyone thought I had a desktop card in this thin laptop.

How about this. It's overpriced, and if you buy it, you're an idiot. Read my edit, the 2010 Macbook Pros (which they were selling until just this month) were running on 2 year old hardware, and they'll pull the same thing with these. I was unaware that they had updated to the MID RANGE mobile GPU and the Sandy Bridge processors MONTHS after everyone else did.

Well, they were actually the first laptop to market with the sandybridge architecture, they came out February 24th. Some of us have a need for a product that can dual boot Windows 7 and Mac OSX, and is easily portable. I would not recommend purchasing one if money is an issue and you don't actually need the extra functionality. I personally have a desktop PC as well, but it's nice to game on the go, without having to take two laptops.

Not to rag on your choice of computer, but if you wanted to play games then you've gone the wrong route.

I swear, people lack even the most basic reading comprehension skills these days. If you aren't even going to read the posts, please don't try and contribute to the conversation. I also stated in my previous post that I have a full on desktop PC in addition to the laptop.

I have a 17" macbook pro (2.4 GHz core2duo, nVidia geforce 8600 gt) from a couple years ago, and the game does not run very well at all right now, even on lowest settings (starts at decent 24fps, but usually drops to 9 or 10 in busy areas, i.e. unplayable). I also have friends who have the newest macbooks, and they seem to have some issues with non-game related graphical things, though I can't validate that beyond the anecdotal evidence and I don't know if it will actually affect games.

I know macbooks are not good-value computers, but sometimes they are required for certain majors at university. It doesn't necessarily mean the buyer doesn't know anything about computers, just not very much ;)

Wine/Boot Camp same thing

Not really. One's an emulator the other lets you install a real OS.

Doesn't make it any better. If anything, worse.

Don't forget the M after 6750, there's a big difference.

The game runs decent on a mid 2010 MBP 13" with the 320m card... It will probably not run well on the latest version with Intel graphics chip.
