I have just acquired this game as part of potato sack. When launched it comes up with a full screen display showing only part of the main menu of the game with heavy flickering. Also present is a Windows taskbar. It is possible to use the start button on the taskbar to launch control panel and reset resolution to 1920x1080 which allows the whole screen to display. Mouse control does work so menu items can be selected but the flickering persists and the game is unplayable. Other games are working quite normally. Computer is running Windows7 64bit professional, has Radeon 6950 graphics and a core i7 920 processor. Anyone know what is happening?

Further on this- a steam update that has just come out seems to have made things a bit better. However as it comes the mouse pointer's action point does not coincide with the mouse pointer's graphic. I have come across this problem before with the 2D bits of some other programmes - Crysis and Shattered Horizon for example - and the solution is to turn off the "Aero" part of the windows display properties that puts the semi transparent edges on windows. You can do this by chosing a Basic theme in windows cotrol panel - personalization or, if you want to keep the aero interface check the Disable Desktop Composition box under the Compatibility tab of the properties of the desktop icon of the programme you want to stop Aero running (It stops Aero running for everything). Steam seems to object to this - but don't offer any other cures for the problem. Anyway with Aero turned off this programme seems to behave properly. Weather it is worth bothering is another matter.

what do you have your screen DPI set to? because if its more then 100% and the game is full screen it will just flicker and not display right. that was happening to me on bit trip and other console-pc crossover games. very very very annoying

Something that seems to help with several of these games is to select Control Panel - Display -Smaller (100%)
