as everyone knows, the ball is in the potato sack, so if i play it, it will help portal 2 get released early. however my computer sucks so it will not run the ball that long without crashing, i can lower the resolution, but its lowest is not enough. (update: the game wont even start now.) so how do i lower its resolution past the in game settings,i don't want this game to be a waste of money. please explain in detail, i'm not a tech wizard.

Go to
C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\The Ball\UDKGame\Config
open the file UDKGame.ini
edit ResX and ResY to the exact resolution you want, e.g.
ResX=1680
ResY=1050

You can also open the console in game, tab or ~, and type "setres 640x480", press enter.

You can type out any number you like, so yeah you could type in 2x1 and have a 2 pixel width screen :)
Try 320x240 or such.

real quick i should mention in order to switch the resolution to a one not on the menu, make sure its set to a default resolution or else it wont work, second, whenever i try to lower it past 640x480 it will do everything LIKE its changing, but will stay at this resolution. its not the problem i addressed above, with that one it would sense the command but wouldn't do anything, PLEASE help. i getting annoyed with this whole thing

I think that might be a monitor limitation you hit there. Try to run the game in a window, then it should allow you to set just about any possible resolution.
