"This animation shows Novarka (new arch), an international project to confine the unsafe sarcophagus of Chernobyl's reactor number four. It will be the biggest construction of its kind in the world"
Thought this was pretty interesting. There is a decent animation sequence in the video showing the proposed plan.

It is a good vid, but a little heavy on Novarka boosterism.

Interesting to see that Gorbachev is opposed (http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2011/apr/19/ukraine-funding-chernobyl-arch) to nuclear energy.
Also I'm skeptical about parts of their process. Doing it as depicted requires constructing many novel items (equipment and objects that did not exist before in that particular size), and placing them at the site long enough for them to be contaminated. [I'm assuming manpower is required on site and that said manpower must be constantly replaced based on exposure times, making just the logistics time consuming.] In the end, putting all the debris and detritus in one hole, rather than processing some of it, is going to be financially appealing.
Also I found their use of terms interesting. "Object confinement."
And of course, the whole presentation reminded me of... something.
I can't seem to remember what that could be. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkiLyb_4wLU&feature=related)

I think at this point the financial cost is second to getting it contained before it collapses completely and really contaminates a much larger area.
