Sacred 2 not launching?

just bought sacred 2 off steam a few days ago once the download was finally finished i clicked play and only received the preparing to launch window. i have since deleted and re downloaded the game twice but the same problem still persists. any help?

The game is rather slow to launch even on a fast computer, so it may depend on your specs. The loading screen initially looks a bit like the boot-up sequence on a PC (before the initial movie starts) -- do you get that far? Tried being patient and give it a few minutes? Otherwise (sorry), no clue.

yes once i click play i have let it sit before but the game never really launches. just the window from steam pops up saying its preparing to launch then it disappears and nothing. very frustrating
