I can't believe there is ONLY quadrillions of character customizations you would have thunk they could have gotten 2 more at least.

Heh, with a bit of knowledge of combinatorial math it seems much less impressive. The more different things you can customize the more exponential the number of combination's. And Brink has a fair number of things you can customize.

They said the same thing about weapons in borderlands, but pretty quickly you could see that there was just an average number of stats on a weapon, even if the combination's make it seem like a lot more.

I'm actually MORE impressed that they got 22 different accents in the game. That is going to add a lot of charm to the game.

Violent vocalizations.
To make Brink's weapons sound even more punchy and powerful, Audio Director Chris Sweetman incorporated some unusual components into their firing sounds, including animal noises, a woman screaming, and even his own voice.

I did a double-take when I read about Sweetman adding screams and such to the weapon sounds. Kinda spooky :eek:

Still, it's nice to see somebody taking interest in making sure the sound doesn't just thud along, but bounces! BOUNCE!

For each extra detail you can change, multiply the previous result by the new detal's possibilities

1 quadrillion -> 10^15

that's , for example, 10 slots with 15 possible customisation each -> 150 actual assets.

What this man says, but lets not kid ourselves, the graphics and eye candies probably represent most of the game's budget, like every AAA titles out there.

the overallpackage has to fit
but after a huge amount of vids, it seems to fit
pre-ordered xD
