It will be on sale in little as a month for half or more off, and I'll rage (I'm xxxxing looking at you super meat boy)
That and these indie games seem to require oddly high computer specs, (I'm xxxxing looking at you magicka) So....
Anyone else discouraged from buying this straight up? or is it just me.

Just you, as soon as I try out the demo I might buy it.
Plus it's 10% off right now.

Also holding off until I play the demo, specs seem too high for a game like this.

I encounter a game I need to get right after its release around three times a year. Of course, the price and system requirements also matter - I wouldn't buy Capsized now if it cost $20 or so or if I didn't think my computer could handle it.
Unfortunately, I can't run the game on my computer properly. I was considering this as a quite likely option. I'll try to get a better one as soon as possible (not by buying).

I know it will probably be on a better discount than 10% in a few months, but I still bought it now to support the indie developer. They put a reasonable price tag on it, and while some people have problems with controls/resolution at the moment, this will be patched soon. All in all, I feel like it totally deserves my 9 bucks...

If it had be $15 I would have held off, but for $9? I'd rather pay a little more and a) enjoy it now and b) give the developer more money.

I understand that some can't wait, but for the level of discount that will come later, theres no reason not to wait.
At the people saying that its to support the devs, I respect that to a degree, however the most successful indie's become the companies you hate. Even valve, a company I loved and lauded has done greedy ♥♥♥♥ that I hate. Some get absorbed into other massive companies. Also the game itself gives them something very solid to put on their resumes you know, you don't have to do them any favors.
If they support the game down the road you can pat yourselves on the back for helping out a decent dev team, if they don't well you kinda lost money you could've saved for some other game, with support.
(When really, if you want to show your support, the most constructive way would be waiting for the intial sale, and then buying dlc right away, supporting their game, while you aren't giving out big $$ for the initial cost on a iffy game where you don't know if they will support it down the road, that way it gives incentive to them to make more content, and they can get their business people to agree, instead of sitting on their thumbs because theres no reason to make new content)
Some companies go bankrupt, and I understand that there's an iffy zone before the companies can stay up and semi secure, and getting there is a problem, but crap like Super meat boy just grinds my gears.
While magicka's crappy optimization is an issue, at least they're still supporting the game with dlc, so they've got that going for em etc.
