I also haven't played Section 8 before. I thought Prejudice was the console port to PC under a different name.

Prejudice is the sequel to Section 8. It has a new campaign with a new story, more multiplayer maps, new weapons, and suits, and new vehicles.

So I'm not really missing any content with the game if I didn't get the first one then, right?

Like I'm unable to play on certain maps because I don't have the first one? Or am I screwed? D:

No, I'm pretty sure they said all the maps were new in Prejudice.
