Question about Greed

so, i admit it... I've pirated.
But not for the purpose of stealing games, but to try them.

For HL2, i downloaded it, then bought the game. (yes there is a demo but, its not big)

anyways, I had downloaded Greed Corp and honestly, i feakin love the game.
I'm going to buy the game today on steam but i was wondering if i can scavenge my progress, and if so, where to put them.

i beat the freeman's campaign, and want to transfer the save file over into my Steam folder.

does anyone know where to put it, where it is, and if its even possible.

Since your original files are not legit, you may be SoL.
