Man, I cant believe I am looking forward to this more than a few other games that are coming.

I just ordered Portal 2 from amazon for like $7.22 (it is $29.99, but I had a $22 gift certificate).
But, I will probably play Hydrophobia: Prophecy first.

I havent even finished Crysis 2 yet, and I will play Hydrophobia: Prophecy before even attempting to finish Crysis 2.

I got an EA racing game on the ea sale, and I wont even download it until after I have tried/finished Hydrophobia: Prophecy.

Man I am all hyped about this game (which I rarely ever get hyped about games).

I wish it were the 9th already.

:D

I really like it Dave and I hope you end up liking it as well. Looking forward to whatever changes have been made for the PC version plus using the mousy poo.:D

Somehow, I keep thinking this will be a game like Twin Sector mixed with a shooter (a puzzle-shooter, hehe).
I am just hoping it wont be as frustrating as TS was (I STILL havent been able to finish that game, even witrh god mode on, sigh).

No, it's not frustrating like TS can be in the least. I've had TS a year and still haven't finished it(in fact I'm stuck again) but there is something about it that keeps me from giving up on it. Velvet Assassin on the other hand doesn't have that virtue with it's terrible checkpoints and no ability to turn on manual save or cheats in the Steam version for some damn reason. I'm just about to the point of uninstalling it.:( I hate being treated like a monkey by developers by being forced to memorize a map and get it perfect to be able to go on to the next map. QS is king!

Well I feel I have to comment now!!

I am excited about this title too. I prefer smaller titles. I will certainly be playing this over other major releases. I owned the xbox version and am looking forward to experiencing this changed and enhanced version on my PC.

I disagree with comments about velvet assassin though. I recently started that game and LOVE it. I like how brutally hard it is and how unforgiving. For a stealth game it adds to the tension.

Also - What is QS?
Quick save?

Quick save?Yes, Quick save. While I appreciate how you feel about the game and the difficulty that makes it fun for you, not all people look for the same thing in the games they play. Options are always nice and don't force themselves on anyone.

I like the game with the exception of the terrible checkpoint system. It's awful imo. For me they are too infrequent leading to frustration at constantly repeating things to get them letter perfect. As I said like training a animal. They would have done better to just said no saving allowed at all.

Further more it doesn't save your collectibles and one must repeat every single thing they have already done every time you die. The ability to manually save however for those like myself is there and available if we could access the developers console.

At least the old Splinter Cell games had good checkpoints.

Hmm... developers console.... like in Portal 2?:)

I'm looking forward to this game too. I just pre-ordered it. Since this was originally a console game, I am sort of debating whether or not I am going to play this using my xbox 360 controller or not. If the controls are good, I might actually get some use out of my gamepad for a change. :D

As for the KB&M, from all the info DarkEnergy gave us, it sounds like from his answers they did a great job on the mouse and KB plus all the keys are remapable including the mouse. I think no matter what control scheme we use it will be fine.

Oh I'm sure the Keyboard and Mouse controls will be fine. I am simply wondering whether an xbox controller will be more enjoyable to use. ;)

So many good looking games coming out! so close together aswell! :(

Brink, L.A Noire and Hydrophobia: Prophecy.. I can't get all 3.. But I'll be getting this, hands down. But then there's L.A Noire or Brink! I'm not made of money. ;)

3 more days! Never been so eager to get my hands on a game. Can't wait :D

I bet DED are just as excited, lol.

Haha we really are! There's no more exciting time than just before you release a game. We're all knackered but buzzing with excitement too :)

What I'm finding hard is resisting the temptation to go back and play the original version on my xbox.

I want keep the game feeling more fresh... but it's sitting there calling me :D

I read the features on the website and the list is awesome. Especially the darknet stuff. That sounds very interesting.
I love games that get support and updates. Makes you really feel like you are getting good value for money.

Any possibility of making the game run under steamplay?

I can't wait too. I finished Crysis 2 and Assassins Creed Brotherhood as well as Witcher 1, the only game I have to play now is SHIFT2 (which is amazing, but not really a game for playing few hours in a row) and Witcher 2 is coming in 10 days. So between 9th and 17th, guess what I will be playing? Hydrophobia :).

If you however want to know if the controller was easy to use and responsive in the XBLA version, then yes, very much so.

PS: A controller will never beat a mouse for sensitivity/accuracy but there is no excuse for a poorly programmed controller either. I have played games where is it done correctly and those were a committee of monkeys surely programmed it.

Well, Portal 2 arrived on friday, and I got to play some that night and today.
It is a pretty good game, especially for what I paid for it.
:D
I wont be able to play Hydrophobia until tuesday night though.
Will have to download it monday night while I am sleeping, and then play tuesday night when I get home.
Grrrrr
Pre-load would have been nice, so I could play monday night. :)
Dang my stupidly slow internet connection.

I love Portal 2! I'm playing through it at the moment... well during the rare opportunities when I'm not too busy with Prophecy! ;)

Yeah, I am liking it.
But, some of the 'humor' seems forced. Like they are trying too hard to be funny.
I totally suck at the goo parts. Had to go online and find the answers to almost the whole chapter 8.
:(
But, I guess that is to be expected from a FPS gamer.
Hehe

HeheI wish they had stuck to just portals in P2 and released a full version of TAG myself but P2 is certainly a nice and fun game just different and doesn't really feel all that "Portal-ie" to me.
