Freezing in Chapter 5 *Spoilers obviously*

Hey, during chapter 5, I get up to the bit where you make the teleprompter for dean gassick, then he goes off and throws you the magazine article.

At this point the game freezes completely, and I'm forced to close it via the task manager.
I've played through the level to this point three times so far, and it freezes at exactly the same spot every time.

Does anybody have any possible solutions? They'd be much appreciated.

I got this reply from the runaway support team at pendulo, took almost a month but here's the reply.

Hello,

1. Start Runaway TDOTT and load your saved game.
2. Press LEFT CTRL+LEFT SHIFT+ESCAPE keys to open Task Manager.
3. Find RUNAWAYTDOTT.EXE process in the list, right mouse click it and click Set Affinity.
4. Untick all the boxes except for "CPU 0" and press OK.
5. Close Task Manager.
