Xbox 360 gamepad - no analog right stick?

I had this game for the PS3, and I swear it used dual analog controls. I have a 360 gamepad/receiver, and it does an 8-way firing. Is there any way to set this? If there is, I'm missing it.

If not, please add this ability!? I'll give you another dollar.

The developer posted that he was looking into this very issue. ..a few weeks after the PC version was released.

edit: Actually, I lied. Shooting is 8-way even in the PS3 version. Movement is analog on PS3, 8-way on PC. Still waiting on that patch!
