Stop hiding servers in browser

I've got a bunch of servers in my favorites list.
Yet, sometimes they just vanish from it.

I don't care if they won't answer, I know they're there because a steamfriend of mine is currently playing on one of them.

let us connect to those servers without forcing connections through the console.

Sounds like a tech support issue not a suggestion.

And you could at least tell us the game.

just about any game that supports steam's server browser.
the master server doesnt get a response from a dedicated server, bamm! no service, server hidden even if entered in favorites.

valve, please let us decide on our own if the server is available or not.
i understand that this is for security reasons, but how much harm can come from a server that is unresponsive, anyway?
