stuck already!

I'm early in the game where the Chief is stuck in a locked room,I can't fiqure out how to use the door decrypter.I aim it at the door decryption circle but no matter what size I make my decryption symbol nothing happens.Any help would be appreciated.

Once you have collected the Frequency Key you need to find and scan the Cipher on the wall. This will unlock a door to the right of the Cipher which leads you downstairs to collect SITE Scan from a console in a small room. Once you have SITE Scan return to Billingham and open the MAVI to highlight the door directly behind Billingham to remotely open it.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you still have trouble. The waypoint displayed in the MAVI should always leads you to the next objective :)

I remember getting stuck there on the 360 version before getting used to Mavi and understanding the play. Look for a ladder and see where it leads you.

You have to press the interact button (X on an Xbox controller or equivalent key) to download the cipher while the circle it white

OK I'll try it I was pressing the mouse buttons I'll try the "E" key instead.

Press "1" to bring up Mavi then focus on door and left click. I don't think "X" is working properly. I had a issue with it in a later level when it told me to press "X" to hack and it didn't work. MAV is working fine though, use her.

I tried my Xbox controller for the PC and I still am doing something wrong,looks like I'm not going to be able to play this game Untill I see a video showing how to do this,I'm sure I am not focusing correctly or hitting the buttons at the correct time.Bummer

Aim at the wall where the strange writings are (in purple or red color if I remember well), and your MAVI will lock on and a mouse icon will pop up. Press left mouse button to learn the decryption code

Thanks I'll try that,I was aiming at the yellow arrow like symbols.

I literally had *one second left* as I stumbled with it myself, so I feel ya there.

I over-thought it, but it just was a simple left click.

Yeh I was reacting to the yellow arrows not realizing they where there to guide you to where to point the Decrypter.
