Hello Everyone,

This game kicks ♥♥♥ but im having some problems with the game i would like to share with everyone...

i have the game running perfectly on my laptop with low settings but the frame-rate is very hard to cope with as one moment its perfect and the next it just drops to next to nothing.

i have created this thread so that people can report bugs and problems that they have with the game, here are the bugs i have found, all based in a partiular room...

View Room (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/558655970956940278/059491E5CB4057969DDD7FC308632DA514FC8A56/)

Problems

Problem #1 - Frame-rate is very unstable (main problem)
Problem #2 - More video settings would be nice to finely tweak the games settings, like a low particles option or texture quality settings etc...

Sugestions

Suggestion #1 - Lower Graphics mode (Like used in lower resolutions but for any resolution, if you see what i mean) for lower end pc's like mine :)

Bugs

Bug #1 - During Smimming in the room below the control room where you have to open the door, it is possible to swim though the floor which respawns the player back to the start of the room
Bug #2 - When swimming though the door sometimes this is not possible due to a invisible wall blocking access to the doorway.
Bug #3 - When swimming into the next room if you swim upwards too much (using space) you swim out of the map (that's how i thought it happened anyhow)

Bug #4 - Kate seems to swim like a dolphin, does anyone else have this problem, as when i press forward she seems to throw herself in the water and surface and again and when you stop it seems to trigger the violent bobbing problem again.

Post up your specs so the devs have more info, always possible that the frame rate issues you are having could cause the other issues.

i don't think my laptop is cut out for the game but it plays fine on low settings, the main reason i bought it was to support the devs, i had a feeling it wouldn't work, here are my specs. Try not to laugh as i feel embarrassed now because there probably ♥♥♥♥

http://pastebin.com/LmrTJqLb

The settings im using are as follows...

Language: English
Renderer Device: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series
Particle System Quality: Medium
Shadow Quality: Low
Character Shadow Quality: Off
Water Detail: Low
Display Mode: 1024x600 (60Hz)
Antialiasing: Off
Vsync: Off
Depth Of Field: Off
High Detail Textures: Off

I love this game and it seems to run fine normally but the framerate drops randomly which makes it unplayable at times, other than the minor issues this game is nothing short of incredible.

Fair play. I'd say the bottleneck could easily be CPU bound, considering the water physics would do a fair bit of number crunching. Well, at least it still plays on low settings. Not bad specs for a laptop though, any higher and the cost of the laptop starts to rocket.

Very true, the only weak point of the laptop is its processor, other than that it handles anything i though at it and very well, i was just scared of someone taking the Pisc incase it wasnt too good compared to there alienware pc.

i have to admit the water effects are mindblowing and i just get so distracted playing with them, that i forget to continue with the story and here was me a few years ago thinking Gears of war 2 water effects were awesome, but this simply makes them look horrible.

this bug was very strange: http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/558655970956679668/799EE97BFEC49538F2D87276F22CED2F3B29655A/

This may help, posted by MADDOG in another thread:

Steam Game Library/r-click on game/ L-click properties/local files/verify the integrity of game cache.

Yeah your missing files probably. Verify should fix it.

done that but the frame-rate still hasn't improved at all, thanks for the tip though.

Sry, that was for the image you linked to with strange stuff happening, although it looks like you may have drifted out of the world, possible side effect of the FPS ur getting.

the game freezes if you break a wall or door with lots of water behind it when the room you are in is already full.
