I played the hell outta Fable. I actually bought the Xbox just for it so I could plant an oak tree in the game and watch it grow. Oh wait :(... well regardless of that not happening I enjoyed it until Jack of Blades took me for a last dance and it was over.

Years later Fable 2 Pub Games came with my pre-order and I became addicted to racking up gold and chilling in the ambiance, awaiting a magical next gen experience with my millionaire hero.

Fable 2 arrived with many features: Xbox 1 physics and mechanics, menus and HUD straight outta 1997, garish highlighting on character models, a perspective shoved up in the clouds when there were beautiful models roaming below begging to be ogled, mundane questing, ridiculous lack of co-op with your friends' heroes, and constant load screens.

SOooooo,
I'm not touching Fable 3 without a demo. I've already seen the effing HUD hasn't changed (it's 2011!!) so I probably won't ever touch this game unless there's some modding potential in the config files.

I should say the one truly redeeming quality for me was the chatter that goes on in Albion. Some of it is priceless.:D

As long as it's upgraded from a constant barrage of either praise and shouting or screaming. It's annoying trying to play coin golf with everyone making noise at your presence.

Fable 1 was going have all of them things Molneux said it would... they just couldn't code it well:)

Indeed I can't see Fable III doing anything really new. I'm waiting on a competitor(probably going to be an indie) actually make an experience that Moly set out to make in the first place before $.$ syndrome hit him. Make an addictive long spanning game with lots of replayability and you have them for life you fool!

My brother-in-law played III and was showing me some flaws, like the map has false caves in places and the HOME button is ridiculous, having to to load a map for what amounts to a menu.

These are the fundamentals of game design. If you can't get them right you're hopeless.:(
