Hello everyone,

Just today I started up Dwarfs!? to find this rather odd error:

[Start error message]
"No Suitable Graphics card found.

Unable to create the Graphics device.

This Program requires Pixel Shader 1.1 and vertex shader 1.1"
[End error message]

This error message does appear in a windows error box.

Now, I know for a fact that I do have a graphics card(of course),
I have a Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT

Yesterday, I could run the game fine, I cancelled out of the XNA installer, and went on to play Dwarfs!?

However today, I decided to go through with the XNA installer, and it has seemed to screw everything up. Thats when I went to this forum, and noticed that the XNA installer isn't supposed to appear anyway.

I uninstalled the XNA, and reinstalled it manually. I got the same result when trying to run Dwarfs!?

So, now I don't really know what to do, I can't run the game, I would assume reinstalling Dwarfs!? may fix it, but I want to know if this can be fixed easily or if a reinstall is required.

Thank you for your time,

- Matto128

When you say you manually reinstalled it, what version did you install? The game needs XNA 3.1, and 4.0 has reportedly been giving errors!

I reinstalled the 3.1 version, I got the link from the sticky post above.

Man, XNA is so confused sometimes. I think it's time to try reinstalling the game!

This is odd, I was about to uninstall Dwarfs!?,
When Steam stopped me and said "Cannot uninstall, Dwarfs!? is still running!"

I said "What?" so I opened Windows task manager, clicked on Processes, and sure enough, Dwarfs.exe was running

I'm still going to reinstall it, just thought I should point that out.
