Controller support?

Do you think this game will natively support gamepads ? Please no "rage" about playing a pc game with a controller ( pun intended )

I hope so. I'd probably use keyboard/mouse mostly since I'm sure id will get the FPS controls right with keyboard/mouse but they are designing it for consoles as well so it should be easy to port that control scheme over. It's good to have options so that one can sit back on a couch and relax. Also, I think a gamepad may be easier for vehicle combat, so I may even want to switch back and forth when entering and exiting a vehicle.

have you not followed this game at all? Carmack said the game was being designed for the controller. even the pc footage has clearly used the controller.

hopefully we will be able to switch on the fly so the controller can be used for driving if desired.

EDIT: and before you say the latest gameplay vid has mouse/keyboard prompts in it, you can clearly tell its a controller being used. they probably just did not have the controller prompts on that build for some reason.
