Hammer Paste Settings

I couldnt really find a hammer specific forum, mabye just blind. When you paste an object it is placed far away from where it was pasted, say you select something, copy and paste without moving. it pastes it far away, this is annoying when you are aligning small models (window frames for example). Is there a way to change this? Sorry for this not being a portal 2 specific question

Use Edit -> Paste Special.
You can automatically move it and copy it xx times with it too.
The normal copy tool pastes it where you are pointing at.
