No way to save the game = deal breaker.
I wanted to love this game but when i was booted back to beginning after i quit and after some googling i found out it was normal...un-installed and disappointed.

Your progress saves after each level, it's not too much to lose if you have to quit in the middle of one.

Eldgrim. I don't believe it's Frozenbyte's problem that you're a complete noob, you can't play and you don't have a minimal patience.

Well to be honest this is a valid point of criticism, and it is perhaps the biggest "technical" issue the game has. It all goes back to our game engine and some decisions we made in 2002-2003 which ultimately affected later decisions and in the end meant that proper savegame support would've taken too much time so we had to go for the current system. Ideally we probably would've wanted to have a proper save at the checkpoints.
There's a small help at the game website outlining the mission lengths (http://shadowgroundsgame.com/new/index.php?page=troubleshooting#missionlength), which may help a bit in planning the play sessions.
Other than that there's not much to do unfortunately. Sorry! :(

Wow! you guys are so honest.
Anyways, its not that much of a prob, just play through a level in one go. I didnt notice it at all.

To be honest, I prefer the current checkpoint system to "proper saves". Having almost no health, no ammo, heroicaly killing some aliens, getting killed and having to rekill everything again sucks. With the current system, the ones I killed stay dead.

I have to admit this is why I haven't played the game more then half an hour. I just don't have those long periods of time to dedicate unfortunately.

The game is maybe six hours in length making the levels around half an hour each so... not sure how the lack of a quicksave comes into play for your issue.
