Okay, so I need help with this, died 36 times so far?

I have one potion that can give me some Vitality left immediately.

I have so I'm not affected by the poison the Zeugl is causing.

Casting protection doesn't last, and my food isn't giving me enough health fast enough. Casting igni is all right. I've tried giving it a lot since it's my only non-melee offense.

That's it. Should I go back and try to make more potions? I last for about 2 rounds of Zeugl coming up, and then I automatically get death. I haven't been the greatest potion maker and have been able to survive so far either with brute force or by taking my time.

Initially I didn't even have one potion, but I was able to save it after loading a previous save. The problem is that I don't have anywhere to get any stuff to make potions with.

Here's what helped me yesterday: Get as many damage modifiers on your silver sword as possible and hack away witch group silver at the tentacles. Once the Zeugl comes up hit him with a powerful blast of Igni (hold right-click) and then switch to strong silver and get about 3-4 hits on him after that. Repeat that pattern until he goes down. Try moving around a bit while battling the tentacles because I think you sometimes die if one comes up right beneath you. Good Luck !

You didn't mention what difficulty you are playing on. I was only on normal so maybe I had an easier time of it. I spent most of the time running around the room and casting IGNI at the tentacles when I could. Then I just switched to strong steel when he popped out of the water and got 4-5 hits in. I just repeated this until I was victorious.

I can't really remember. Either Normal or Easy, I'm not stupid to try and pull off the hardest difficult setting off the bat. :p

Running around seems to eventually kill me, they're everywhere!

I use my silver blade, and group style, but I have a hard time getting it working on one of the tentacles. Maybe they're moving so fast, but once I do that I can take down 2-3 if I'm lucky in a few seconds.

I tried this, but I got the same result, probably need to do it again since it could turn around.

all i did was use group style, with the silver sword for the tentacles, then when he came up,i just used strong style on his face,i dont recall taking any damage,or nothing a swallow cant instantly regen back. i never used igni, hell i didnt even put more than 1 point into it,and i was on the hardest difficulty. was level 34,or 35

I did this on hard the other day and it was a cake walk. I had the Elven Raven armor which increases your endurance and sign potency, and I had Igni fully upgraded. I literally could not run out of endurance if I tried. By the time I finished the casting animation of my first sign, my endurance bar was filled again. When his tentacles popped up I would cast a 360 Igni that killed them instantly, then I would beat him in his face with strong silver. Rinse and repeat.

For you though, you should down a Swallow, Tawny Owl and maybe even a Blizzard. I don't know how you could be out of ingredients, I always have to leave stuff behind because my bags are full.
