I've noticed that there's a problem with players who buy FFXI off Steam not receiving a registration code. Has this been fixed? I have Final Fantasy XI on the 360, but I'd like to have it on PC as well, so I was thinking about buying it off Steam.
Edit, because I know somebody will mention it: I may have FFXI on the 360, but I don't have an account for it.

Well you will prob not get a response from any "official" person about this, but im kinda sure even if you would get problems with the all in one registartion code you would get it to work with help from the support.
One thing tho, if you have a account/char on the FFXI servers you dont need to input any code, all you would have todo is install ffxi on ur pc and then update it and input ur login info as you would on your xbox360, there is no difference between the pc/ps2/ps3/xbox360 user account, Its all the same, you can login to ur char from any of the clients available for the game.

I bought it off Steam and it works great, but there's just one problem. I can't find the directory that FFXI installed to. I want to do the music changing trick, but I can't seem to find the music files that I need to replace. >_>

Personally i wouldnt buy this on steam. It just adds another layer to an already bloated launcher. You can probably find a box copy for cheaper anyway.

You just need to launch FFXI from steam once to get it fully installed, u can then manually launch it in the future, and no need of having steam open.
