IGN Review WTF

Okay I am very confused here at the review they gave the PC version of this game. First off they gave the review of the 360 version an 8.5 and praised it in the review.

Now comes the PC version, which has a video attached, and it should be noted that the controls at least for the video where the Xbox 360 one. Same game I am guessing as the console version, but its review gets a 6.0. I am confused.

The video didn't fault it for the controls or running on the PC they faulted it for its story line and lack of decisions, how is this possible isn't the story line completely the same as the console version.

I need some help here I haven't bought it yet but I want to, is it good and IGN is being winy children or is it really that bland. Also how the hell can the same game but on the PC get a score 2.5 lower than the console version.

Was it the same reviewer? If so, odd. If not then it all comes down to personal preference.

And I'm pretty sure a gamepad can be used on the PC version.

It can, I am using the wireless controller for windows (xbox 360 wireless controller) to play Fable 3 right now.

i played the X360 version last year. while the game wasn't very challenging. i still spend many hours to complete it. and i enjoyed it every moment.

the reviewer obviously doesn't know what he's talking about.
the PC version should have gotten a higher score. if they gave the X360 version a 8.5, while PC the version should be way better in terms of graphics and better frame rate. i pre-order my copy. and once its released. i gonna enjoy it every minute, just like the X360 version. but, this time with lag free.

When it releases if someone can tell me how it is I want to know if it is worth buying or not I loved the first fable and thought the second one was good.

It's not a good game. The person that reviewed it for the 360 clearly had.. incentive.. to give it a good score.

Reviewers remind me of some Star Wars-esque intergalactic politics. Sure, there are the few good apples but they get buried, rot, and utterly destroyed by the multitude of reviewers who have the morals of a hooker and shell out 80+ scores for whatever "incentive" they get to make it that high.

Honestly, people are just afraid of taking risks and that's why reviews are so important. I'd rather just wait and risk it on a mid-week madness sale because Fable 2 made me lose faith entirely in Lionhead.

Not accurate remarks from Joe as he is talking about the 360 version not PC. Lionhead listened to the critics & went back & tweaked some of the gameplay.

IGN should pull their review & sack that reviewer he was playing The Witcher2 beforehand so clearly did not give Fable3 a fair chance!

True if you were playing witcher 2 then had to review fable it gives fable a subconscious hindrance, because that reviewer kept thinking of witcher 2.

Most games recieve a lower score on the pc than they do on consoles. Fable 3 is being reviewed at the same time as Witcher 2, it is only logical that the two games are going to be judged on one another.

The reviewer may already have played the xbox version and as such the game will seem less interesting, even with the changes that were made to the pc version. More so if annoying aspects of the game are still present.

Review scores are however rather uninteresting. What matters is the review itself and how/if it differenciates from the console review.

I knew it. I doubt that it will be just fine? meta scritic score is only 71 now for PC. that's why I am glad to buy the witcher 2. much much better.
