As title says...how did you deal with the greatest enemy? The Guide. Worse than any monster the game throws at you! The Guide can't be killed with weapons or tools, he opens your doors to let enemies in...he stops you from building and often purposely gets in the way.
I've heard the Guide being killed by drowning him, burning him in lava...there are many ways to handle this great enemy. How did you do it?
My was fairly simple...I MADE HIM MY PRISONER!

If I'm not mistaken he'll re-spawn out at some point. I think in one of the youtube videos someone did that and he go out somehow but I might be wrong. Yea he needs to go, maybe put him as an option or once you get to a certain point he disappears.

You know the thing I hate most about him?
He always goes to MY house. He knows, somehow, that my house is the best, and every time he goes to MINE. It has no table, nor any chairs. But he goes to it, every time. First house I build? He pops up in it, LOLMINENOW. I build a nicer house, decide to let the merchant move in. My third house is a castle, and he won't STOP VISITING. Well, now he will, because I built a large moat, but that is besides the point.

the guide initially started in my house but a day later I built "sunflower outpost" next to the corruption and he moved there.
Well, at least he's happy.
I also gave the demolitionist a nice home in my house but as soon as my friend made a house underground next to an altar of darkness he packed up and made the journey.
I wonder what's wrong with my house, only the nurse wants to stay.
Even the merchant moved out.

He moved into my second floor, doesn't do anything.
