The game was running okay up until this point, but refuses to load this level. Midway through the progress bar the game suddenly closes. The other levels appear to work fine.
Is there anything special about level 12 that would likely be a cause? Otherwise I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling to fix.

There shouldn't be anything different about that level, can you post any error logs that show up in /content/logs

I've have the same problem. Started a thread a couple months back... see "Crash while loading level". Never could figure out how to fix this problem. Sadly, the developers seem to have abandoned the project.

Just got to Deus last night. Capsized "capsized" when trying to load it. I found this thread and discovered that my error log is exactly the same as the others posted. I started the game again, tried different resolutions (tested 1280x720, 1280x1024, and 1440x900), started loading Deus, AAAAAAAND... crash.

Seriously, between this and the xbox controller issue, I can neither FINISH campaign mode NOR play co-op AT ALL! That's kind of a significant percentage of the game I can't play.
