the game had very nice gameplay. Upgradable guns and fun enemies. The ending was surprisingly funny.
Hoping survivor is even better!

Survivor's not too bad. You follow three different people through the game: A marine with the ordinary guns, a big guy with a flamer and minigun, and a sniper with a railgun. Each one of them has their own set of special abilities and upgrades, like bullet time for the sniper or cluster bombs for the marine. So you get more variety in the gameplay, and it's quite nice to have to use a flamer and shotgun when you've been depending on the pulse rifle the whole game.
The main problem I've had is that the levels and story are a bit more disjointed. The first one showed pretty good continuity - you'd get into a car in one level, and you'd get out of the car in the next level. Survivor feels more like you've parachuted into each level somehow, and there are some really arbitrary setpiece battles. And that's assuming the next level isn't a completely different person. Still, the gameplay is much the same, so it's a good way to stretch out the experience.
