Indescent proposal problem (Act 1 spoiler)

I am trying to sneak behind the house to steal the trap. But I can't get past the pissing guard, I try to jump up on the ledge but I am caught every time.

It seems as if he turns around when you get close enough no matter what you do.

Anyone get past this and how?

He doesn't turn around for me when I sneak up behind him. Then I gave him a good whack to the back of his head and all was solved.

is there a light source near ? ...is it at night time? ....you can turn the light source off very easily depending on where it is..

I just pressed up against the wall stealth style and the guard stopped pissing and i was able to knock him out.
