My portal 2 map: the

i dont have a name yet,but give mae a good name after i have released some screenshots.


theme: clean and backstage.

cools things: abig fan(the one you can find in coop),gel pumps(those from singleplayer)
and more!(the fan and gelpumps is just recreations and not taken from the maps)


what do you want to see in this map?

map content:
gels,panels,lasers,faithplates and a BIG FAN OF DEATH!

theme: underground and clean(the underground things behind the "clean" walls.)

hello im making a map with gel pumps(that's right! gel PUMP'S)


4 pump's and 2 stations(small ones)




map making update 1: i have made pump station nr 1(blu,orange and white gels in one station) i have buttons that starts the pumps(starts a sound from the pumpstation from the old aperture)
and the gel flow.
the waterstation is next!

moving panels is placed where the entrance to the pump station is!

Map update 2: the fan of death is made and i have a BIG vault door that covers the fantube(you can open the vault door and you can start and stop the fan with lasers)

screenshots is cooming soon.


this map may be finished next week,but im going to have a exam soon!(i hope the map will be finished soon)

problems: HOW do i make holes in the walls? my map wont run after compiling!(i can run it in portal 2 with console) HOW do i make a rotating prop?
TIP's and TRICKS is welcome!(prefabs is also welcome im requesting one)
Prefab request: elevator and skelleton turret(i get a model not precatched error if i try to make one skeleton turret)

Too make holes in walls you have to use the cliping tool DO NOT CARVE IF YOU DO YOUR WALLS ARE CRAP

#2 the compileing may be because you have a leak.

For skeleton turrets you just have to choose skeleton under model type and change load defective models to yes.

This guy is speaking the truth. Carve should be disabled to be fair.
Does it still crash like a Obsidian programmed game?

i used arc tool so i could get a hole in a wall.

i want the underground working skeleton turrets.

things i did when i made a turret(before i made the tread:

1. used turet npc
2. choosed skeleton model
3. made the turret shoot trough portals and knock back the player 4. launched the game and tested the map and i got this error:
turret model not precatched.

Did you used any light in map? That was problem when i was creating my first map. Or you aren't using light.exe in compiling process.

i dont know,but the map has light,but not lights that i have put in my map.

That is your problem. In default it uses some global lighting that doesn't show gels. You must use light entities in your map.
