I'm trying to find where the server is storing the custom sprays that users upload. Some users are starting to use some nasty p0rn sprays and I'd like to get rid of them. Can't find the custom.hpk file anywhere on the server.
Does anyone know where Source stores this file?
Thanks!

I think thats a stupid idea, if soneone sprays a porn spray, and someone else doesnt like it, Then they have the option to disable sprays alltogether on there computer.
Every time i spray a porn pic and some 20 year old yells at me, I tell him to put on the content filter or whatever and stop your ûûûûûing.

Thank you for that comment. I'm not here to debate what you like or not, I'm asking a technical question about server management.

I'm not sure if the server itself stores the file, but the people store the file in the cstrike folder.

I'm pretty sure the server itself does not store the file, only the clients.

i dont think its possible to filter the files, as they are just passed thru the server to other uses, youcan disable sv_allowupload and that stops all users uploading any sprays

So if I'm understanding this right, when player1 uses a new spray, it is then passed thru the server over to player2, player3, etc? I know previous versions of CS stores the sprays on the server in the custom.hpk file. I guess they changed it with the Source engine?

apparently, but you could probly exec a command deleting or disabling the person's spray in rcon...? just an educated guess..

We have had the same problem on our server. We turned off sprays but a lot our guys worked hard on the spray including myself. So we have just been watching people and if we see them we will warn them. If they do it again we just ban them.
There may be something to help out when some of the admin mods come out. They have been waiting on the SDK which should be out this week.

Since we turned on sprays, we have had some with the nasty sprays. When our admins catch them, we also warned and then ban them.

It comes over as a .dat file I think ... wondered what I was downloading mid-games once and someone let me know ... I believe it's sent to the clients via the server, not sure if it gets stored though

I saw via the console that it's download .dat files when I connect my client to the server. I also think it's stored in the downloads directory.
