Have to ask.

I played the first one for a bit on the PS3 a few years back but never got into Vegas 2. The biggest thing is the multiplayer, is it populated? I wouldn't care if it isn't overly populated, a moderate amount of people would do.

I hear there are some people who still play, but it is not super populated. The game is pretty good over all. It is a bit of a rehash of the first one, but is still fun to play. Plus, with the sale you can't beat the price.

I'm interested mostly in multiplayer, does anyone know if it's still as active as hl2dm for example?

Try to get a few friends to play with you and you'll have a blast!

Everyone plays the Co-op Campaign and Co-op Terrorist Hunt, and there are always a decent amount of servers going at any one time (10-20 Terrorist Hunt). RSV2 is well worth the purchase as long as playing the online competitive modes isn't what you are looking for, since not many people play those modes online with this game.

In versus there's barely any servers. There's like one good server at a time and it's usually full, the rest lag like hell. I was very disappointed with this because I used to love playing Attack & Defend on Calypso Casino. :(

But, fret not, you can still get a good amount of online play with terrorist hunt. There's always a load of servers for that and if you create a game it'll be full in no time.

I was hoping to buy this specifically for the Versus game modes; I've had enough of Terrorist Hunt and Co-op Campaign from Vegas 1. :P So, really, there are next to no Versus servers up even at peak times? I'm sad. :(
