Is there really local co-op?

It says on the Steam page of this game, but online threads say otherwise. Can anybody clarify with me whether this is the case or not?

Well someone has to respond so might as well be me.
You can play over the Internet with people or over a LAN Network.
Gamemodes include Team Deathmatch, Coop Story, Coop Mission and Coop Survival.
Sadly there is no local-coop in the sense of plugging in 2 joysticks and playing on the same PC.

Would have bought if there was local coop with 2 controllers... I don't know why they always nerf the PC version for local play.
