First Syberia and now Still Life on Steam. I love you Valve! :)

How do you compare this to The Longest Journey? Which one is better?

I always thought longest journey was the most overrated game in the history of the universe. I call it the longest piece of junk!

So I'd get this game instead for sure, and I haven't even tried it but I'm going to right now. :)

Both are games totally different, but in my opinion TLJ is much better than Syberia. It's a fantastic adventure. And very very extensive. Its 91 in metascore shows it clearly.

I haven't finished the first LJ myself, but I did play through Dreamfall and was disappointed. Personally I recommend Still Life and Syberia over those games.

Longest Journey Dreamfall Spoiler:
The ending left too much unresolved, such as who that person in the beginning was and introduced characters too late who you barely got to know before the game was over. It felt like someone pressed stop after 60min in a 90min movie.

They are two very different games, it depends on what you like.

The Longest Journey is, well, long, very rich in text/dialogue and it balances between our world in the future and an alternate, fantasy world, full of wizards, giants, dragons and such.

Still Life is a dark but very artistic crime game with elements of supernatural (both main characters have visions of crimes).
Keep in mind that [regarding SL ending] the case isn't exactly solved in the end, not fully, because Microids had to cut the game short due to going bankrupt. When Ubisoft bought them they made Still Life 2, but it was a rush job and they changed the original, intended ending and replaced it with something dumb and mediocre. You can still read the ORIGINAL ending on a forum somewhere.

Both are well worth playing, imo, but it's hard to compare them since they aren't even in the same genre, apart from both being point-and-click games.

Awesome that Still Life is released on Steam! I might buy the Steam version for convenience in the event that I'm stuck at a hotel and need something to play on my netbook.

Longest Journey > Still Life > Syberia, in my opinion.

Still Life is one of the best adventure games I've ever played. It's simply brilliant!
