Can't get past first movie

Just bought Theif: Deadly Shadows and on the first time I launch, the intro movie starts up. I watch it and when it finishes, it immediately plays again. Not wanting to watch it again, I press ESC. For a split second I see the main menu, then it restarts the movie. Every time I press ESC, it does the same thing, never allowing me to access the main menu.

Is there a fix to it? I'm not playing on a laptop and this computer should be able to support.

Now it won't even start up. I've restarted Steam and my computer and it still won't start. On my friends list, it shows I'm in game for about 5 seconds, then it says I'm not playing anything.

I found the answer to why it loops but I can't get the game to start anymore.
