View Full Version : Co-op issue that isn't port forwarding (I think)

My friend and I are having issues with connections, as many are. We couldn't even connect to the private matches we were hosting until after we forwarded the ports. But now, after selecting characters and level and difficulty, we get to the loading screen and then it says I lose connection to my friend, and it says for him that he's disconnected. Any idea what's causing this problem? We've tried all the fixes suggested by the various other sites out there, but no luck.

So far the only solution I've gotten to work is to use Tunngle to play a LAN game with your friend. I have tried port forwarding and all the other workarounds but none of them worked for me.

I just forwarded all those ports, as well as 7777 and I've not had any issues.

Think I had left out the outbound steps on Windows 7 Firewall. After following the steps in that links guide I finally (after 4 days of agonizing over this) got into a multiplayer game.

Only one showed up though. Is this game really that unpopular, or is everyone just having terrible issues getting the online part working?

it works.

for vista go to Start -> (in classic mode)-Control Panel -> Windows Firewall -> Allow a program through Windows Firewall -> Add port...

Than just fill in the name which will be "hunted.exe" with out quotations

than fill in the ports remember to select the proper protocol

TCP 28900 – 28902
TCP 7777
TCP 28910
TCP 29900
TCP 29901
UDP 6500
UDP 7777 – 7787
UDP 9989
UDP 27900

once that is done your good to go. enjoy.

was your friend from a different country than yours?

We've done the rules for windows firewall and all the ports we could find, but it still hasn't worked. Does anyone know exactly what the problem is? Because I can DMZ my computer, but I'd prefer not to, and I'm not entirely sure it'd work.
