how does this really impact anyone? it's sold on valve store if they want to add cross-promotional items that's their choice and really doesn't hurt your gaming of said games. the hate for hats and mannco is rediculous, it's all optional.

This is derailing towards TF2, but imo TF2 was way better without ANY unlocks, back before the medic update... But now there's no stopping. Tf2 is just such a big source of money for Valve. It would be stupid of them NOT to milk the money out of the people who want items and buy GAMES for items... I can't blame them.

But hey, atleast the MP will probably have more players if it has a cross-over with Tf2 since some people might actually want to play the game, and go play MP before or after passing the SP! :)

im pretty sure that the hats in DNF are meant to be one of the many stabs they take at valve throughout the game; not any kind of promo at all.
