View Full Version : New Tool Suggestion: Powder Keg

Really lovin' this game, but floods sure lead to many premature endings. I get the whole cave-sealing bit, sure, but once a flood gets into a section of wider tunnel (I know you know what I'm talking about) all you can do is toss your hands up and let the end come, assuming it's lava. But what if you had a limited tool that gave you a chance against this sort of bad end...

*Powder Keg is placed and explodes as dynamite.
*Powder Keg costs gold and has a recharge timer like the hourglass.
*The explosion drops a grey rock on its main space and all adjacent empty ones.
*If a grey rock drops on a dwarf/enemy, they die.
*Grey rocks act as stone (can be dug through/blocks liquids).
*Grey rocks cannot be solidified (so you cannot seal up your camp).
*Grey rocks on grass will disappear over time like holes do.

This suggested tool is quite limited in its use and is by no means a permanent solution to dealing with mass flooding. But under certain circumstances it just might save some dwarfs and that's what counts, right? ;)
