In Dragon Age, you could right-click to control the camera with the mouse, getting rid of the cursor and then simply let go of it to use the mouse to interact with the world. It worked pretty well, can we do the same in this game? Also, any way to place the camera more lower behind you, so you have a better view of what's in front of you?

I noticed you could turn the camera by poking the edges of the screen with the pointer, but it was pretty sucky.

Yeah no, that's not what I mean at all. I want to move the camera using the mouse, just like any other game. Dragon Age also had the pointer to interact with the world but you could still use the mouse to control the camera by pressing the right mouse button. To be honest, I don't even know why this game needs the cursor, it seems useless so far. You don't use it to open chests nor have to actually click on the enemies to attack them

Yeah I know what you mean, and I tried all kinds of permutations of buttons but didn't find anything like a drag-camera. Seriously, the game would have sucked maybe 10% less if they had movement on WASD/arrows and camera control on mouse.

Only way I can think of is, in fact very stupid, to download a xbox360 controller simulator and map your mouse to right anolog, wasd to left analog etc

Why? That is a very elegant way to control the camera. You don't need to press any button - just a simple mouse push.

(But this doesn't make up for unmappable controls.)

Holding the middle mouse button/scroll wheel down allows you to control camera elevation and rotation. The range for elevation is quite limited and as far as I can tell there is only two zoom distances.

You can hold the middle mouse to do this (though it's not very comfortable or fast).

I have a 360 controller. Keyboard and mouse work better for this game for me. The camera sensitivity setting in options controls how fast the camera moves when holding the scroll wheel down or when using A and D.
