CD Key not valid

Hi.

Although I am not having this problem myself, quite a few users are.

Since around the time Chronicles was released on steam, EU3 complete keys (and reportedly some others) are not being recognised on Paradox's end.

Most cases, the Divine Wind and Heir To The Throne keys work, but the EU3 complete keys are not valid.

A local mod at Paradox has said that it is probably a steam issue having not bought more keys, but no official word from paradox. Could steam please comment on this?

same problem here, both heir to the throne and divine wind expansions' cdkeys worked, but the third cdkey provided by steam, supposed to be that of eu3-complete, does not work. hope steam has already taken up the issue

Just got the game yesterday (Thursday, 2011-06-23) - and the EU III key I was given does not work on the Paradox Forums (which I need).

Both the 'Heir to the Throne' and 'Divine Wind' keys worked (neither have the 'Europa Universalis III' prefix on them on the Paradox Forums, for anyone else attempting to find them)

I have this problem too. Can't register EU3 Complete on Paradox Forums after buying EU3 Chronicles (Divine Wind and Heir to the Throne keys work).
I posted about the matter in the Paradox Forums, I'm doing it again here, because I don't know who is responsible. But I'd really like if this thing will be resolved ASAP.

I'm having the same problem and to make things worse the game immediately black screens me after i click on the desktop so the game is useless at the moment,and i cant even access their support forum to troubleshoot the problem.

Steam did this on the EA week Sale; they sell more than expected.... I am sure (I hope) our keys will be good within a week...but you are correct Steam should say something and show they are customer oriented and working on solving this.

This is an easy thing to solve. Just one phone call would do it (or how ever they have setup their P.O. system for license distribution.) They may be waiting for the sale too end too get all the keys activated at once.....(I know I am too optimistic). :)

Same problem here, and it means I can't access the forum with beta stuff to see if there's any fix for EU3 Complete multiplayer not working with non-steam clients.

Guys update:

For the time being if you register your HTTT and DW keys on the paradox forum they are granting you access to the tech support area of the forum. That means you can get tech support and the beta patches.

I got EU3:Complete, not EU3:Chronicles, myself, so that doesn't really help me. It's possible to get a new key from Paradox, but that involves someone from Paradox taking time out of their day to do that for each individual person who requests it and provides the proper screenshots and so forth to prove that they bought the game and have the same kind of wrong key that steam issued to most everyone.

It seems to me that this was Valve's (or whoever was in charge of ordering keys, or whatever happened) mistake, and they ought to fix it for everyone by auto-issuing new keys, just like they did with Warband (at least that's my understanding of how they fixed it) when it happened when that was on sale and everyone who bought it ended up with an invalid key (which was much worse than this, since Warband decided it was the trial version for half a week, so people couldn't even play what they had bought properly until somebody got their act together and got proper keys for everyone).

I am having this problem too, hopefuly there is a fix in the works soon!
