ppl:

Your critical posts on these forums are much appreciated. Glad to see a lot of ppl still have some good taste and high standards and are not going to settle for this mockery of a game. But I think for the most part, our opinions are not reaching the right ears.

What I would humbly suggest we all do, is contact the publishers and developers and let them know directly, exactly why we think their garbage is garbage.

(This is it for now; there is no feedback link for DS3 yet.)

Obsidian is not exactly forthcoming with contact information. Quality Assurance (http://www.obsidianent.com/jobs/qa.html) links to a blank page, for example! (Guess that explains a lot!) But...

^^snail mail address can be found here. I would recommend you write your letters to the attention of something a little more relevant than Human Resources Dept., of course.

I of all people realize it is a relative hassle to have to register for these external forums, but realistically, I don't think it matters how much hate is posted on Steam forums, they are not going to get the message, at least not at the required amplitude for them to really hear it.

To be honest I am doubtful that even posting on their forums will really reach the right ears, but it's probably better than Steam forums, and if u can find any more direct contact info, please post back.

There is certainly a case to be made of "why should I have to go out of my way to try and help these ignorant, greedy fools?" and "contacting them won't do any good" etc. All I can say in response to that is: NOT contacting them surely won't do any good!!

GLHF.

Already did. I cancelled my pre-order. I’m in disbelief that one of my favorite RPG games is now screed up forever. What’s even worst is that they don’t seem to care.

I feel great, no need to ruin their forum in a way you are ruining this one.

I already have. ill post it here for all to see. if they read here too.

I really hate coming into a forum and busting on the Devs, but seriously guys, how could you all mess this game up so badly that not just me, but the entire community is up in arms about. Not just this forum, try Blues News, Voodoo Extreme, the Steam Forums. They are all saying the same thing. and many have canceled their pre orders.

What really killed this game for me was the lack of options. Reconfiguring my keys being the biggest issue. I generally have to use at times a small little program called AHK, AutoHotKey. This little app doesn’t even work with your game, I mean, WTF? How is it that you all managed to even alienate that program to not work with this game? I could have forgiven the fact that the keys are locked down if I was able to use this program, but I’m not. You guys even took that away from us.

I haven’t heard a word from one developer about these concerns we are all having. And that’s a problem in itself. When developers feel that they don’t need to explain themselves, and then I’m sorry, I just can’t in good faith support any developer or game that does not support the PC the way it’s supposed to be supported. There are certain laws when developing games. One of them is allowing users the right over controlling their key remapping. This is a golden rule that you all apparently forgot.

I get the feeling that you all just rushed this title out the door by converting the console version and dumping this piece of crap on our doorsteps. This is unacceptable and should never be tolerated by anyone who you all want to support your games.

This game has no soul at all from its predecessors, I really have no idea what you all were thinking when you decided to release the pc version of this game to us in its current state, but this is NOT Dungeon Siege, this is like a bad nightmare that has gone all wrong.

After playing the demo I had no choice, I canceled my pre-order. I don’t think I was being selfish when we as a group of gamers are asking that we be given the ability to reconfigure our keys. I am a left hander, I use the Arrow Keys, and this is how I play. And I need the ability to reconfigure my keys to that side of the key board when playing. I am upset and defiantly won’t be supporting your game at this time. If Obsidian at some later time decides to do the right thing and adds these features, then I will reconsider my buying and supporting your game. Until that time I’m sorry, but you have lost my purchase.

Square Enix never opened those forums. They only really seem to have forums for Supreme Commander. And their members website has no forum links at all that I can find. They just don't do forums, it seems. Looks like they wanted to do a Dungeon Siege forums, but ended up neglecting to follow through.
