Minimap gone after hacked server

So I got into a hacked server today - actually, there were around 3 or 4 going, good job IWnet - and now my minimap is gone. If I hit esc to see the menu, I still can see the whole map, but in game the minimap in the upper left hand corner is gone.

I've tried quitting MW2 + Steam and relaunching, but it didn't work.

Any suggestions?

Also, the fact that hacked servers are now effecting us after we leave them shows to sorry state that IWnet is in.

Please download the mw2 configuration utility.
You can re-enable you map that way.

Also, you can make backups of your game files so they don't get hacked.

That is a very handy tool. I like it for adjusting my settings without forcing me to go through my config file when I am feeling lazy.

Or delete your mp_config.cfg file. Then verify cache. Steam will redownload the missing file. Then all you have to do is change back all your settings and key bindings.

Also, when you are finished editing your profile/config, make sure to set it to "Read-only".
