The game is completely riddled with culturual and gaming references, they just didn't hold back.

probably that gearbox's duke might be slowed down while running away with such a heavy armor..
only a warrior at front line needs such armor^^

If you check out the Duke forums @ Gearbox it seems there's a lot of modders on the scene already. hopefully we'll see some steps towards old school Duke.

Takes me back to the care-free days when I used to play the original Duke games.

here's explaining the two weapon limit, not finding the regenerating health part but you can see he was influenced by consoles, apparently he does like the halo style game play. When Gearbox acquired Duke Nukem Forever it was about 80% done.

Makes you wonder what kind of game we could have had, doesn't it? Had the original vision being kept intact.

As is, though, I think the game is really enjoyable. Worth the price of admission anyway.

I'm doubtful as to whether or not I will pay for any DLC.

It would have to be singleplayer because the multiplayer isn't worth investing time into.
