I know this has mentioned here before, but since some german test-magazines STILL tell you that this game hat local split-screen coop, this is for all those who didn't get the latest updates: there is
NO local (offline) coop
for this game on the PC version. This has also never been mentioned in the adverts!

Yes you can. Completed it together with a friend myself. No issues at all.

i never used hamachi, for me the game works normally after opening port 7777 correctly on my router.

You have to log in to your router.
Probably a ip like 192.168.1.1 or something like that.
Go to run and type in cmd.
Then type ipconfig
Your routers ip address may be the numbers listed there for default gateway.

That isn't a dumb question it's a highly much needed question. The problem is there is not one place on the internet that explains how this is done or configure it. And it's impossible to do without a video with narration with someone going from start with how you even open the router right down to saying ok when you get to this part it should look like that.
Without those type of spoon fed hand held instructions there is no way to know what portforwarding is or how to do it...only the few lucky people who had degrees in copmputer sciense will know this and none of them ever explain anything either.
Here is a prime example of the dumb ♥♥♥ answers you get when asking how to do someting this overly complex:
if you notices you asked how you open port 7777 on your router right? now take a look at this jerks reply:

what the hell does that mean. You cannot ever portforward with that. Seriously that says absolutely nothing and is impossible to follow unless you havea degree in computer science.
Also do not bother with Hamachi or Tungle because you will run into the same exact problems where you ask a how do I question and you get unexplained responses.
These people need to realize that they either need to write down from start to finish every single thinig they are4 clicking, where they are clicking it what screens are opened, how they are bringing up things to type in, I mean every small little detail if you click something you type it out. You then make an entire manual with step 1 do this step 2 do this. or they need to not reply at all
Because without that information I sauid needs to be there, you cannot ever hope to ever know how to port forward or get anything anyone of them says working.

unfortunately theres a 90% chance even if we gave step by step instructions they would be useless as router management is not standard across all brands and models, your best bet is to visit the website of your routers manufacturer and look up the manual there OR find a local tech savvy person and get them to help you.
